Behind the Curtain at Ulvante Zymetro

We started in a cramped community centre back in 2019, teaching five students how to project their voices properly. Today we're still that same group of theatre enthusiasts who believe everyone deserves to discover their stage presence.

What We Actually Do

Theatre education shouldn't feel intimidating or exclusive. We teach the fundamentals — voice work, movement, character development — in ways that make sense to regular people.

Our approach focuses on building confidence through practice rather than theory. You'll spend more time on stage than in lectures, working with scenes and exercises that actually prepare you for real performance situations.

Most of our students come to us nervous about performing. They leave with skills they can use whether they're heading to drama school or just want to feel more comfortable speaking in public.

How We Work

These principles guide everything we do, from individual exercises to full scene work

Practical First

Less talking about theatre, more doing it. We learn by working with actual scenes, not just discussing concepts.

Safe Space

Making mistakes is part of learning. We create an environment where you can take risks without judgment.

Real Skills

Everything we teach connects to practical abilities you can use in auditions, performances, or everyday situations.

Our Story

Helena founded Ulvante Zymetro after years of watching talented people hold back in community theatre groups. She noticed the same pattern — people had ideas and enthusiasm but lacked the basic tools to express them confidently.

What started as weekend workshops has grown into comprehensive programmes that prepare students for drama school applications, professional auditions, or simply more confident self-expression.

We've kept the same philosophy: theatre training should be accessible, practical, and focused on what actually helps you perform better.

Meet Helena

Our founder brings fifteen years of professional theatre experience to every session, along with a genuine passion for helping others discover their stage presence.

Helena trained at RADA and spent a decade working in regional theatre before discovering her love for teaching. She's particularly good at helping shy students find their voice and building practical skills that work in real audition rooms.
